Don’t you just love the beach? Any beach really. As long as it has sand that’s walkable and water that’s swimmable.

I’m not quite sure which came first in my turquoise obsession, the beach or the colour.

I blame my mother entirely – her love of every tint and shade saw me dressed in it from a young age. I suppose growing up in Queensland, long seething summers make me think of the beach, swimming pool lining, the sky on a really hot day and generally being outside. Now, it’s a signature colour, one I’ll track down on my travels to wear, decorate my house with, attempt to press on my nearest and dearest and revel in.

Day-to-day, I write for travel mags and blogs, for events industry magazines and review websites. I manage events and generally investigate London. I travel as much as I can. Some of my favourite places in the world are Turkey, Hawaii, Tokyo and Portofino, but I’m always looking for the next great adventure.

if only the water was the same colour...
