This beautiful hotel opened in November last year and was a revamp of the original Royal Automobile Club building. There are touches of this history through the building in the old photos of cars beginning the Monte Carlo Rally on the inside of lamps in the bar to original staircases and cornicing. Other than this, the hotel is now a classically modern hotel with 100 bedrooms and soon, a rooftop penthouse and spa.
For events the hotel has a private screening room with high-tech equipment and really cosy seating for 50 people.
Already the restaurant has gained a local following for the modern British cuisine and the Rally bar is a cool place to relax and have drinks in a plush environment of cool greys and rich purple upholstery. When the spa opens later this summer it will be the first luxury spa in the city with 9 treatment rooms and special packages – hooray for the new glamourous Glasgow!!
